Zendaya and Robert Pattinson in Talks to Star in New Romance Movie

Look out, Spidey, MJ might be finding love with Batman.
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are in negotiations for the A24 romance The Drama, E! News can confirm. A source familiar with the situation shared that the stars are “in early talks” for Kristoffer Borgli's next project with the indie film company.
Details of the film remain under wraps but it is said to be a romance involving a couple whose lives take an unexpected turn before their big day.
Borgli, whose last film was 2023’s Dream Scenario starring Nicolas Cage, will write and direct The Drama.
While Zendaya and Pattinson have yet to work together before this, they’ve each had quite a busy few years.
After serving up two big hits earlier this year with Dune 2 and tennis drama Challengers, the 27-year-old will once again play Rue Bennett in the much-delayed season three of Euphoria, which is expected to release season 3 on Max in 2025.
Back in July, after months of rumors about the status of the series, HBO confirmed that the Emmy-winning actress will be returning with co-stars Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Storm Reid, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow and Eric Dane as the award-winning show begins filming in January 2025.
In addition to some of her indie projects, Zendaya most famously played MJ opposite her real-life love Tom Holland’s Peter Parker (a.k.a. Spider-Man) in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home. As for whether the duo will reunite onscreen? As Holland told Deadline following rumblings of a fourth film in April, "The simple answer is that I’ll always want to do Spider-Man films. I owe my life and career to Spider-Man. So the simple answer is yes. I’ll always want to do more."
As for the Twilight actor, he took on the Caped Crusader in the 2022 film The Batman. He is expected to reprise the role as Bruce Wayne in The Batman Part II, which is slated to be released in 2026.
It’s also been a big year for Pattinson personally as he and longtime girlfriend Suki Waterhouse welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in the spring.
And it’s a role he’s already excelling at. As the Daisy Jones & The Six star previously told British Vogue that Pattinson has become “the dad I could have hoped for” adding, "He was there with me and like all dads, he was really nervous but for someone who’s quite an anxious person, he’s been very calm.”
